Fundraising efforts generally fall into one of two categories: credits benefitting the individual students who work, and the General Account, as determined in advance by Band Booster board members. Band Boosters has established the following fundraising activities for the 2009-2010 school year: (under construction) |
Student Account FundraisingThe Marching Band periodically goes on a Fall field trip to Florida. Doesn’t that sound really good about now? Alumni will surely testify that this trip builds character, and bonds strong relationships, through the challenging and rewarding backdrop of musical performance.Well, it’s also a great experience that historically costs upwards of $600 per student. Band Boosters is committed to creating opportunities for the students to reduce their individual cost. Looking ahead, summertime is not a great time for coordinated fundraising, and September “back to school” time -- competing with everyone else’s fundraisers -- is almost too late. Therefore, the Band Booster committee is actively working to create Student Account work credit opportunities between now and the end of the school year. Notices will be sent out, but please do be sure to check back periodically to learn of new opportunities.General Account FundraisingPanorama of Bands BAKE SALE on March 14 -- a simple, tasty, and PRODUCTIVE fundraiser opportunity! Our past bake sales have enjoyed great success; you are great bakers! This event presents SPECIAL OPPORTUNITY because of the large number of visitors attending.
